Welcome to Year 4! We have an exciting year ahead with lots of fantastic opportunities for the children to learn in a variety of ways.

Our Team

4 Binch Teacher - Miss Davies

Miss Davies is the Year Leader for Year 4. She is excited to plan lots of opportunities for the children throughout the year!

4 Pullman Teacher - Miss Young

Miss Young is starting her second year at TPA. She was previously teacher of 2 Ahlberg and is looking forward to working 

Miss Carpenter – LSA

Miss Caprenter will be based in Year 4 Binch with Miss Davies, but will be working with children from both classes. 

Mrs James  - LSA

Mrs James will be based in Year 4 Pullman with Miss Young, but she will be working with children from both classes.  

Routines & Notices

Indoor P.E.

Swimming every Wednesday

The coach leaves at  9:05 and returns to school at 10:45

Outdoor P.E.

Friday afternoon

Reading Records

Children should bring their reading records to school every day. We would like to see parent/carer comments in the children’s reading records three times a week.

Homework

Projects will be set: Thursdays

Due in: Tuesdays

Pupils may be required to finish off uncompleted work from class. This will be set, along with a deadline, on a case by case basis.

Registration & Dismissal

It is expected that all children arrive between 8:40am – 8:50am and that they line up with their class when the bell goes at 8:50am.

Your child’s class will be dismissed at 3:20. Please allow plenty of space around the door and teacher when collecting your child.

If your child is being collected by another family member or friend please write a letter to your child’s teacher.

Pullman are dismissed from the fire exit adjacent to the Edible Playground.

Binch are dismissed from the hall.

Mobile Phones

Pupils are not allowed to have mobile phones on their person during the school date. Phones should either be left at home or handed to the office at the start of the school day where they will be kept securely. It is the responsibility of your child to collect their phone at the end of the day.

Dates: trips, visits, class assemblies

Summer 1

Week 1- Dentist visit! A Dentist will come into school and talk to the children about teeth and dental hygiene.

Date TBC-Junior First Aid workshop. Children will learn the first aid basics from a trained adult.
