This week, Year 2 have set up an experiment to test the growth of plants under different conditions. We spent some time exploring the life cycle of a plant and learned that they need air, water and light to grow. We wanted to find out what would happen if the plant has no light or no water. Hopefully we will see some results soon! In Maths, we started our topic of fractions. We LOVED using chocolate hoops to share our whole number into equal groups. We are starting to become confident in recognising halves, quarters and thirds. For International Women’s Day, we studied Amelia Earhart. She was a famous aviator who was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean solo. What an achievement!
