Free School Meals
From September 2026, there are two categories of Free School Meals:
- Targeted FSM – for some lower-income families and certain other qualifying groups.
- Expanded FSM – for families who receive Universal Credit.
Children in both categories are entitled to receive a free school meal. However, additional support linked to low income, such as extra funding for the school and certain other forms of assistance, may only apply to children in the Targeted FSM category. It is therefore important that we verify and confirm the correct category for each child.
The school asks all parents and carers to complete the Free School Meals application: Free School Meals application.
