Reception Highlights

We have had a busy first week back in Reception starting our new topic, Up and Off We Go. We are going to be thinking about different types of transport this term and we have started off by learning about bicycles! We have looked at different kinds of bicycles and how they have changed since they were invented. We have loved listening to the story Mrs Armitage on Wheels this week, and the children were fantastic at remembering all the modifications she made to her bike! In maths we have been learning about sharing things fairly, we have had lots of practice at sharing things out equally between our friends and making sure everyone has the same number. We have also spent time enjoying our new role play areas which have been transformed into travel agents. The children have loved booking holidays for their friends and teachers, making sure evryone has their passport and creating their own boarding passes!
