This week in year 6, the children were able to experience life as a Victorian! We visited Reading Museum and took part in a morning of Victorian role play. It was fascinating to see the differences between then and now, especially how teachers spoke to students! This will help in our learning for the next half term, as our history focuses on the changes in Reading during the Industrial Revolution. We were then lucky enough to be able to walk around the entire museum in the afternoon, studying many different artefacts and their stories.
We are focusing this half term on producing our best work in every lesson, giving the same attention and care no matter the subject. This will prepare us for secondary school and ensure that we make the best of every learning opportunity and develop skills as independent learners. Our superstars of next week will be children that have demonstrated a pride in their work and a commitment to succeed. Thank you for supporting us as always!
