Year 6 Highlights

Year six have been working on our end of year production, Matilda. This has been tricky with most of our children having now completed their secondary school transition days so have been absent from TPA on different days. Alongside this, children have been preparing for secondary school in various ways: they have taken part in ‘Worry Warriors’, a series of workshops designed to combat the fears and worries relating to transition; our PSHE lessons have focussed on transition and body image; and we have been looking at a Shakespearean play in English which is something children will continue to explore in secondary school. We have looked at ‘Macbeth’ and the children have really enjoyed exploring the characters and their intentions.  We even acted out the battle in the opening scene.
