On Friday 11th January, the year 5 girls Football team took part in the level 3 Wokingham schools Futsal tournament at Bohunt School. Competing in a year 6 tournament for our year 5’s was a real challenge, however we’re really proud of our team that battled very hard in some tough games against experienced opposition. In every game the girls improved their performances and understood the tactical awareness needed to play Futsal. It was the first time that the Palmer Academy had entered a Futsal tournament and we feel that the Year 5 girl’s football team adapted really well and have improved as players for the experience. We look forward to bringing back the same team next year.
