Last term, in Year 5, we were engrossed in our topic of “Europe.” We tasted lots of amazing food from different countries, played traditional games and even went to Bella Italia to make our own Italian pizzas. However, despite these activities igniting excitement, it was our legacy project that we enjoyed the most. We were introduced to our very own German pen-pals all the way from Dusseldorf! We wrote to our pen-pals and told them all about ourselves and our school. With anticipation, we awaited our reply but sadly we were left with the impression that they became lost in the Christmas post.
Luckily, earlier this week, we received an exciting parcel filled with our letters all the way from Germany! We were absolutely over the moon and some of us even received German money and food! We cannot wait to reply to our new pen-pals and we are so excited that we have made friends from a different country!
