This term, Year 1 have been learning all about dinosaurs!
First, we discovered a mysterious egg in the playground which we soon found out belonged to a dinosaur. This prompted lots of discussion and writing about different types of dinosaurs. We also wrote riddles and got our friends to guess which dinosaur we were describing. We even had a visit from Harry, who left us in charge of his bucketful of dinosaurs - which unfortunately went missing! We then wrote missing posters so that everyone in school would look out for it.
We have also learnt all about Mary Anning and practiced our paleontology skills. We even made our very own fossils! We absolutely loved our trip to the Oxfordshire Museum where we found out even more dinosaur facts, had a lovely time dressing up and saw real megalosaurus footprint fossils!
