Our Visitors
Reception have enjoyed meeting lots of visitors at school since September. The Police visited us at the beginning of the year to talk about their job and what kind of person it takes to work in the Police force. We were able to try on their vests and look at their ID badges.
The fire fighters from the local station visited us too, and we all got to have a turn sitting in the Fire Engine and use the hose to squirt water at a cone in the playground. They showed us the protective gear they have to wear to keep safe and some of us tried on their fire helmets.
When the School nurses visited we learnt about ways to keep healthy, by the food we eat and ways we can keep our bodies active. We also looked at how important it is to wash our hands to remove germs. The Nurses had a special light box and we used a special gel on out hands that glowed under the UV light box.
