Year 1 have had a very eventful start to the new half term. We came back to school to find what looked like an alien spaceship on the field! We investigated the scene, then wrote our own newspaper articles to inform others about the mystery arrival. We are hoping to find out more about space, and where this alien spaceship may have come from, in the weeks to come!
We also enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium. We enjoyed finding out about the Webb telescope and discovering how light is used in telescopes to explore the universe. We were absolutely fascinated by the planetarium, where we were taken on a journey through space, spotting constellations and planets. We also had so much fun exploring the interactive space challenge and exhibition.
