In Nursery this term we have been exploring Under the Sea.
We have been learning rhyming words with a great book called Shark in the Park.
We also shared a true story on the internet – the poor whale who was trapped in netting and was saved by a man and his family.
The children were fascinated by the rescue story and helped untangle all the toy whales in the nursery that were caught in netting – Well Done Nursery! They learned that you cannot put rubbish in the sea as it hurts the sea animals – rubbish goes in the bin!
We also observed a real mackerel - the children held it and described it’s texture and appearance. Some of the children did some very good observational drawings.
A very interesting topic. Our next topic is The Jungle – we are really looking forward to seeing what the children learn next term.
Best wishes, from the Nursery Team
