Coach trip

On a sunny Thursday 10th October 2019, Year 4 from the great Palmer Academy (which includes me) travelled by a huge, green coach to London - to go to the Sea Life Centre. We wanted to see real sea-life animals because it was part of our topic "The Blue Abyss". At exactly 9 o'clock, we got on the coach. I sat next to Jai and my mum because she decided to go on the trip too (obviously I got the window seat).

Entering the Aquarium

After a few hours, we finally got to the awesome Sealife Centre. When we got in, there was a piece of glass and underneath was a tank filled with sharks! There were so many pictures of sea animals and there were so many cool, dim lights. Then we went to the workshop and a lovely, smart young man told us the difference between tropical and native fish. Then he let us identify different animals. After that, he told us about the animal families.

Walking around

When we had finished our lunch, we split up and walked around. We saw a mixed breed of sting-ray and shark; her name was Betty. We saw the best Nemo and Dory. Then we saw real-life turtles and penguins. After that we went to a place where animals from the Antarctic came on the screen. Minutes later, we saw sea-horses and some bugs. After that, we saw jellyfish! Then we went up again and looked at the sharks. Then we went back to school.

Trip review

I would give this trip a 4 out of 5 because some animals were just on TV screens. I would recommend this trip for 5 – 80 years old because kids have fun and old people can too. The best part was the glass tank to view the sharks.
