12 December 2019
Reception have been learning about different celebrations. We learned how Diwali is celebrated, and we made beautiful Rangoli patterns to go in our Role Play areas. We learned about Guy Fawkes and why we celebrate Bonfire Night.
We made poppy wreaths to lay at our special Remembrance Service, to remember all the soldiers who have fought and continue to fight and serve our country.
We have also been thinking of boys and girls, up and down the country, who are a lot less fortunate than ourselves. We wore our spotty clothes to raise money for the BBC Children in Need Appeal. Some of the Reception children have even donated some of their old unloved toys, so that we can pass them on to local children who do not have much. We had lots of fun taking part in spotty activities for the day and making Pudsey Bear masks.
Thank you to our wonderful parents and carers for your continued support this term.
