Highlights from Year 5

This term has been an exciting and busy term for Year 5! We have been on our first residential to Ufton Court, learning life skills such as raising self-esteem, developing tenacity and improving our overall well-being. We enjoyed activities such as building shelters, working as a team to get crates across an area to allow our teammates to safely cross, being brave by feeding the pigs and goats, and making friendship bracelets.

Our topic this term is Europe and we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to make our own pizzas at Bella Italia. We were given aprons and chef hats to ensure we looked the part and learned the process of making a pizza, including our favourite toppings – YUM! The best part of the visit was getting to enjoy our delicious creations afterwards.

In school we are eagerly persevering with our academics and have worked hard to improve our reading and times tables this term. Our teachers are very proud of the progress we are making in these areas and look forward to us continuing with this determined attitude.
