Highlights from Year 2

Year 2 had a fabulous trip to the Tower of London. On the way, we saw many of the famous sights we had been learning about, including The Shard, Big Ben, The London Eye, the River Thames and lots more!

We then had such fun exploring the Tower of London, including the dungeons! We got to see the real Crown Jewels and also the ravens who guard them. We climbed up to the top and saw an amazing view of London Bridge. We also took part in a Great Fire of London workshop where we wowed our tour guide with our knowledge. All in all, it was a great day and the best end to our project.

We have also been visiting our friends at the retirement village in Whitley. We go on the first Wednesday of every month and we read together. We love to share books, stories and our news and we love to hear what school was like for them too. We also want to thank them for the squash and chocolates that they give us.
