The Year 1 team have been so impressed with the effort that has been put in by our children and families this week. It’s certainly not been the start to the term that any of us planned but it is fantastic to see the children continuing their learning to such a high standard and ensuring they do not miss out on important curriculum content. Also, a huge well done to our Year 1 school bubble, who have worked super hard this week, despite missing their friends!
We have started the Spring term by exploring a Year 1 favourite story: The Gruffalo. We have loved seeing the children’s beautiful story maps this week! We have begun our new reading book ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’, completed our place value to 20 unit in maths, began our new Geography topic learning about where we live, found out all about Wassily Kandinsky in Art and much, much more!
