This week in Year 3 we have had another fantastic week full of exciting and fun activities. In writing we have focused on innovating the instructions on ‘How to catch a troll’. The children have come up with some very imaginative ideas on ways to trap all sorts of mythical creatures. We have drones dropping nets on aliens, disguising wood so spirits fall into pools of water and turn to dust and helicopters carrying huge buckets of water to melt giants. In French we have been focusing on our greetings and are getting very good at saying hello and goodbye to one another! We have learnt lots about our European neighbours in Geography and completed a fun Kahoot quiz in partners which we all really enjoyed! The TTRS tournament between classes has heated up with Benjamin winning last week and King-Smith this week! This week we have also been creating posters inspired by Marti Luther King JR as part of Black History month. We have discussed the importance of black history month and the reasons why we celebrate it every year.
We want to say a big thank you to all our parents and carers for supporting us through the first half term of year 3! Hope you have a good half-term holiday!
