We have had a great first week back but we would like to take the opportunity to celebrate the learning from last
half term. The children worked in pairs or small groups to create presentations on a country in North America. Some children went above and beyond and transferred their information onto PowerPoint to deliver their oral presentations in class. We had many enthusiastic presentations that demonstrated much of the learning that took place. This term we have begun work on fractions. If this is an area of mathematics that your child finds particularly hard, please make use of www.mymaths.co.uk to practice at home. There is no need for the individual secondary log in for them to access this, this is only needed for their homework. With our History topic being about WW2, it would be great for your children to do some research on the topic. I would ask that you help them access child-friendly sites so they do not go on to read about events that took place that might unsettle them.
