Year 4 started off their Roman topic with an amazing, interactive workshop led by Hobgoblin Theatre Group.
The children were treated to a historical performance where they learned about the Roman Army and Roman life. Afterwards, they took part in a drama workshop hosted by the actors. They learned basic drama techniques such as how to warm up their voices and then they got to re-enact some of the Roman day scenes - making up their own pieces too! It was a wonderful experience which the children thoroughly enjoyed!
Since then, the children have learnt many facts about Roman life; they have made their own Roman shields and tasted some Roman porridge!
