In Reception this week we have been looking at feelings and what we can do if we feel a certain way. We read the book Angry Arthur and talked about what we can do if we are feeling angry, we have also had a go at writing our ideas down using our phonics. In maths we have been looking at how we can represent numbers up to five using five frames, including what happens when we add one more or take one away. This has involved lots of singing songs such as ‘Five little ducks’ and ‘Five green bottles’. In outdoor learning we used ‘magic marbles’ to listen to all the nature we could hear around the school, we could hear birds, wind and even ants’ footsteps! We have also had fun creating our own butterflies where we did some folding, finger painting and cutting, they look fabulous!
