We have been working extremely hard in Year 5 this week. One of our focuses has been ‘Healthy Body Image’. We have discussed the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and how this can impact our image of ourselves. We made ‘recipes’ for a healthy lifestyle including physical activity; a balanced diet; an ability to find the good in yourself; respecting yourself and limiting time on social media. After lots of discussion, we realised that being healthy isn’t just about eating well and exercising. It’s also about keeping our minds healthy and happy. Finding a hobby that motivates us, having time away from screens and going for a walk to get fresh air. These all play a big part in keeping our minds healthy too which is just as important!
